Robert Bradley, shown above teaching a drum making course, is the owner of Bob's Leather Goods and Crafts.

Robert has been fascinated with the Native teachings even as a young child. His mother tells of the story when as a young boy he made a bow and arrow. His family and friends thought how cute until he let it go and it was like the real thing.

He has always lived close to the earth and it wasn't until he was a little older that it was disclosed to him that his great grandmother was actually a half blooded Native from Pontiac Michigan. It didn't really surprise him at all.

Robert learned how to make hand sewn leather moccasins and has never looked back. He studied under a Native Elder for several years who taught him the art of drum making as well as other Native traditions and teachings.

From Moccasin making he started working with leather and today has a full line of hand made leather goods. He has taught himself the lost art of leather carving and incorporates it into his work. His motto is "If you can dream it he can make it."

Robert hosts monthly drum circles and teaches drum making and other classes at The Hedgewitch in Sharon, Ontario (go to www.thehedgewitch.com for the schedule).

Robert brings with him a wealth of information in the Native Traditions and teachings and loves to share them with whomever he meets. His classes allow him the avenue to share his knowledge with others while at the same time helping others along their path.

He lives in Oshawa with his wife Sharon and two dogs, Bandit and Blue.
